Science Teacher Workshop Series

The Vanderbilt Science Support Center (VSSC) offers a variety of pedagogical and content workshops for teachers of grades 5-12. Workshops are held in the Science Support Center, Room 4, at the Martin Professional Development Center.

VSSC workshops focus on developing effective instructional skills, increasing scientific content knowledge through university partnerships, and gathering new ideas from exemplary science teachers. All workshops are conducted in a hands-on format and incorporate effective instructional strategies. Participants are actively engaged in the learning and are encouraged to share their own expertise and knowledge.
