Fair Weather Fair
Fair Weather Fair is an introduction to the STC/MS Science Kit Catastrophic Events. It comprises eight activities related to a scientific concept.
Notes
- Students rotate through the activities in teams of four stopping to conduct an experiment at a total of eight stations.
- Activities are conducted in teams of two. Prepare two set-ups at each station.
- Some experiments take longer than others. Remind students to add to their Student Record Sheet when they are at a station with a short experiment.
- If students have extra time after completing the circuit of experiments and their Student Record Sheet is complete, they can diagram and label each of the experiments on the back of the SRS.
- The Wind Speed experiment (anemometer) should be assembled before hand.
- Mixing the salt water with blue food coloring prior to class makes Ocean Water easier and faster for students to perform.
