SSMV Graduates the Class of 2013

On May 11, the SSMV held its third commencement exercises. Together with their families, friends, and community members, 19 graduates from seven MNPS high schools celebrated completion of the four-year, honors program. Senator Lamar Alexander gave the commencement address and, quoting author Alex Haley, he encouraged the graduates to, “find the good and praise it.” MNPS Board Chair Cheryl Mayes and Vanderbilt Provost Dr. Richard McCarty also addressed the graduates. The Vanderbilt REPORTER and the Nashville City Paper both published articles following the event. Below are the list of graduates with their high schools and intended colleges and universities:
